In case you haven’t heard, Taylor Swift is in Tokyo, launching her 1989 World Tour in grand style.
Taylor Swift: ‘My mom has been diagnosed with cancer’

“The 1989 World Tour has officially started,” she tweeted Tuesday night — it was Monday morning in the U.S. — after the kickoff concert at the Tokyo Dome. “I love you. I love you. I love you.”
Swift got a crazy welcome at Tokyo’s Narita Airport on Sunday from dozens of shouting, cellphone-wielding fans, and sources told TMZ that at least two arriving flights were delayed by the commotion.

Country pop star Taylor Swift has had a bumpy love life. Here’s a look at some of her celebrity boyfriends, a few of whom she may or may not have written breakup songs about.

Perhaps loopy from the time change, she delighted fans with a dopey, rhyming text exchange with Ed Sheeran that she posted on Twitter — “Like you said, Ed,” “thats okay, tay” — and got back to business as she and her team visited arena the night before the first show to see the stage being built.

Then it was showtime.

“The view that took my breath away … 55,000 strong,” she said on Tumblr, posting a picture of the Tokyo Dome crowd that appears to have been taken from the wings Monday night before the pop star took the stage.

She opened with “Welcome to New York,” played around with “I Knew You Were Trouble” and wrapped it up with “Shake It Off,” USA Today reported.

Also, spotted walking through the crowd were TSwift’s parents, including mom Andrea Finlay, whose cancer diagnosis was revealed about a month ago as the “Blank Space” singer gave fans a heads up that her mother might not be attending as many concerts in the future.

Guess this one was important!

She’ll play a second gig in Japan, then will return for a handful of domestic shows before hopping over to Europe. Then it’s more North American dates, including a couple of shows at L.A.’s Staples Center on Aug. 25-26.
